Okay, I was skeptic at first. I bought this to use for both my 2021 iPad M1 (which is what i’m using, and i’m literally typing out this review on this keyboard).Switches: (I used a mix of Kalih Royals, Hako Trues, and used some of the stock browns. Swapped stock springs to 80g. Filmed and lubed. These are my function keys. Feels great)Keycaps: Cheap. Expected though. Once I can find a nice MT3 set keycaps with Mac function keys - i’ll be switching over to those. The stock ones aren’t awful. They include the windows alternatives. They’re really just run-of-the-mill-generic-as-heck-chinese-keycaps. Nothing special. The font of them is nice though and the parts of the keycaps that aren’t shine through are very clearly visible. Not impressed - but not unsatisfied. Most likely won’t bother the average consumer.Lighting: It’s not bad! Coming from someone who doesn’t give a crap about RGB backlighting. I just wanted a white backlight to be honest. Many different lighting functions to please everyone and their grandma.Build Quality: I received a plastic model. Saw they had an aluminum base plate out of stock on their website. I don’t really care as this thing is supposed to be very portable for me. Just to keep this part short, its good enough to work and doesn’t feel cheap. The bluetooth connects super freaking quick. Very pleased with that.I subtracted one star from this product however due to the lack of QMK/Via support. If you have no idea what this is - don’t worry about it then as it most likely doesn’t effect you. It’d be really nice if the company supported this. It’d allow anyone to modify their layouts and experience just by using software - which the company doesn’t even have their own software to support this board. Skip the middle-man/software developer payments and just have the dang thing support QMK/Via!!!Just a little disclaimer - no where ever on their website or this product page outlines that the board supports QMK/Via - this is simply my plea to them to consider this as i’m sure they have already. I’d love to know why they don’t though. Finally - The hotswap sockets.. This was my first experience ever using these things. I just recently built my own board using a soldering iron and everything so I was extremely comfortable ripping this thing apart. Thankfully, their sockets worked pretty much flawlessly. I can’t say anything bad about em.I really enjoyed my new keyboard for about 6 months. The brown switches had the right amount of click without being annoying and had a great tactile feel. I love the ten keyless design that still preserves the traditional home, end, insert, delete, page up and page down and arrow keys because I sometimes game on my PC. When I use it for work on my Mac, however, they aren’t necessary and you should consider going to an even smaller Keychron keyboard. Overall I loved my Keychron keyboard and it got a lot of daily use.Unfortunately at around 6 months the caps lock key was performing unreliably enough to be a nuisance. It would only register a keystroke if I pressed down with “purposeful” force and made me have to retype things that needed to be in all caps. This is where my five star review starts losing stars.I submitted for warranty repair on Nov 7. After a few back and forth a with the CSR they determined that it was defective and would send out a replacement “board”. I finally received the board - a replacement PCB board, around Dec. 7. Realizing that this would take about an hour or so to remove all key caps, all switches, disassemble and reassemble, I didn’t attempt to do this until a week later.Fast forward to the repair and after the new board is in I realize that a toggle switch, that controls if the keyboard is in mac or windows mode, is broken — the actual physical switch broke off. (See image)I let customer support know that they sent a damaged PCB and they responded that they checked it before they sent it and that I likely broke it, which, though, plausible, is highly doubtful because I work with electronics regularly and know to never force anything due to fragile components. When I pushed back and just asked for a replacement keyboard already (the case has been open over a month!), they offered to send me another toggle switch to replace the broken toggle switch on the replacement board. I told them that this wouldn’t work for me because it’s soldered on and I don’t believe I should have to do this for warranty work. They responded asking me to take it to someone who could solder it for me — I don’t believe I should have to pay someone else to fix my defective board under warranty. At the end of the day, my support case is still open, approaching two months, and they refuse to send me a new board, instead offering me either a second replacement PCB or a 60% discount on the purchase of a new board. I’m sorry, but I don’t believe I’m ever going to buy a Keychron keyboard again after this experience. I just asked for a replacement PCB So, fingers crossed, this will get me back up and running. At the end of the day, I love the keyboard when it works and would’ve given it 5 stars, but subtracted 3 due to the defect and customer service’s poor response. I advise those in the market for a new keyboard to consider my story in estimating value and consider some other brands as well.Got this for my 16 year old and he loves it. Keys feel great when typing and sound isn't too bad either. The only reason I dinged them one star was something wasn't soldered correctly, but it still works. We would return and get another, but my boy would sooner get it fixed on his own than wait for another one. I guess that shows how good a keyboard it is.*Updated* Requested a replacement from amazon and the new one is perfect, with the space bar not giving me any issues at all. Only giving 4 stars because the support team for Keychron told me that the spacebar would sort itself out over time, but it was almost like the two stabilizers weren't connect. Used it every day for hours over a week and a half without it "breaking in". Minus one star for support suggesting it would resolve itself and having to deal with a return, but great keyboard overall.*Original Review* I seem to have issues with the space bar. While I am typing, If I do not strike the center of the space bar, it seems to jam up and the only way to unjam it is to hit the space in the center a few times. Just opened it up and it has happened about 5 times in the first hour to me. Contacted customer service and am awaiting a response.I purchased this keyboard based on a recommendation from one of my computer science students. He was very relieved when I told him that I really like the keyboard. LOL!I really like the color shift. It's a cool feature. I do not game, but if I did I am sure the keyboard would enhance my play.I love the feel and sounds of this keyboard. Looks amazing with my all black desk set upSometimes disconnects with two devices connected, else great productWireless has no lagsLo uso alambricamente con una computadora de escritorio y bluetooth en otra sin cambiar de posición. A very good keyboard for the price, the keys actually came lubed from the factory as well which I wasn't expecting. The keys both sounded nice, and felt nice to type on compared to a standard Cherry MX keyboard.Ontop of that, they (the keyswitches) are also hot swappable too in case you want to try out other keyswitches, say, Outemu, Kailh, Cherry, or even boutique ones such as Zealios or Holy Pandas.Overall, I would definitely get this keyboard if you want something that's both cheap, but very, very quality.I have had a few keyboards over the years and this one is perfect, I can switch between Bluetooth and wired, coloured lights are not over the top and the quality is outstandingLos keycaps son otra historia, algunos venían hasta despintados. Venían manchados o con el grabado incompleto, otra cosa que no me agrado del todo es la longitud del cable. Creo que pudieron incluir un cable más largo.I wanted a mech keyboard that was able to quick switch between my laptops.Definitely no issues at all. Easy to setup, great battery life so far.And the LEDs is a nice touch too.
