Since the hoodlums involved are evolving with new strategies to encroach our network, Network administrators must also be prepared to withstand the attack of these criminals, people with brilliant brains are coming up with new technologies to hack our systems, hence we too need to be prepared for it.This project will aim at designing a system that will be able to stand various security threats and challenges faced by our networks, this system will be able to detect danger and take some security measures upon detecting even the slightest of dangers. The tool to be used to achieve this will be Cisco Packet Tracer which is a cross-platform visual simulation tool designed by Cisco Systems that allows users to create network topologies and imitate modern computer networks.This software allows users to simulate the configuration of Cisco routers and switches using a simulated command line interface. Packet Tracer makes use of drag and drop user interface, allowing users to add and remove simulated network devices as they see fit.
